More About Me
I am a mathematician by education, computer software specialist by profession and an educator by desire and inspiration. I lived first 30 years of my life in the Soviet Union, where I have received a rigorous math education in the Moscow University and took a leading role in computerization of government statistics. Since 1979 I live and work in New York. I continued my career as a computer software specialist in the area of systems programming, 4th generation languages and investment management. I have passed the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination and am involved in hedge fund management. Successful career in computers and finance did not prevent me from taking an interest in the system of education, starting with mathematics for teenagers. Realizing deficiency of the traditional system of education, I have decided to create a Web site UNIZOR.COM with my view on how math should be taught to young students. My primary goal was to emphasize the importance of solving problems as the main tool for person’s development. I have recorded many lectures on different mathematical subjects and plan to continue this work within a framework of video presentation.
After my "Math 4 Teens" course was relatively complete, I have started "Physics 4 Teens" and hope to complete it in the future. As the previous course, this one will consists of video presentations, detail notes for each lecture, many problems solved and exams.
