More About Me

I’ve been teaching for almost 25 years, and J never want to leave the classroom. I teach part time and have a Grade 8 Homeroom class. The other half of the day, I woke in consulting through which I help teachers, schools and communities build projects and initiatives to engage and amplify voice and community. I have two podcasts. The Personal Playlist Podcast is a show where educators share three songs: one that’s nostalgic, one that reflects their identity and one that motivates/inspires. I just did a TEDx talk on the power of this format in a classroom project. I also have a weekly Live show on voicEd Radio where I gather a panel of educators around a topic in education to teach and learn from each other as well as the listening audience. I’m the cofounder of TheMentoree.com, which is a community that supports professional learning, teacher well being and efficacy through mentorship. I am also on the board of Learning Forward Ontario.
