I'm a high-energy and high-integrity professional with over 18 years’ innovative leadership experience in developing international business, and managing projects and program support functions. My passion for improvement and development stems from personal experience while growing-up in rural Pakistan. It didn't take long for me to make the connection between education as a right, not a privilege and internationalism since it binds us together through a shared interest in being the best we can be - for ourselves, our families and our communities. At an early age, I found my niche by working for the British Council where I contributed to the UK's agenda on cultural relations with achievements in globalization and international student mobility management, international sales and marketing, joint ventures, procurement, corporate acquisition, product development, in diverse environments; led multimillion-dollar projects; aligned business goals with innovative delivery solutions to drive process improvements, competitive advantage and bottom-line gains. Most recently, I served the Global Chamber as an Executive Director, where I combined my technical and commercial insight to craft strategy, uncover growth opportunities and expand market share; helped companies and communities grow locally and globally. I’ve also led RITE Associates in MENAP to provide consulting services (aimed at institutional reform / creating new public value) to private and public sectors; from start-up to scale-up. Known as a dot-connector, I've had success leading a range of corporate development, strategic programs and consulting assignments; brought multiple stakeholders (youth, community workers, experts, policy specialists, non profit partners, minority and indigenous leaders) together to create a shared vision and common goals; applied tri-sector leadership; merged culture, technology and people to drive results in non profit, coalition, private and public sector settings.
