I am a member of the National Teachers Hall of Fame, Class of 2011 and have written four books, most recently TAKE THE JOURNEY: TEACHING AMERICAN HISTORY THROUGH PLACE BASED LEARNING. I also wrote a book, SUMMERS WITH LINCOLN: LOOKING FOR THE MAN IN THE MONUMENTS about my travels to visit Lincoln statues across the United States.
