More About Me

I am married, mother of four children and have taught for over 30 years in primary, high and tertiary education institutions. My work in Community Engagement is underpinned by the Sustainable Development Goals and the enhancement of communities. I teach Research and Service-Learning to undergraduate pre-service teachers who engaged with diverse communities - Old Age Home, Early Childhood Education centres, Drop In-Centres, Botanic Gardens, Museums, Soup Kitchens, Gyms, etc. My work is also in Science Education in the Foundation phase using Inquiry-Based Teaching and Learning; The Use of Phronesis for the Professional Development of pre-service Teachers, Environmental Education and Indigenous Knowledge for the Decolonisation of curricular.
