I like to sing to worship songs. I like to sew (made two (2) African outfits watching youtube). I like to listen to Calypso with content that can edify. I like to connect to website that can educate, enrich and entertain (mild). Occasional leisure readings of books in the library.
Creativity - Assisting my husband with his self employed small business in the area of administration (preparing documents, flyer, call card etc.). He is a plumber.
Passion
Professional development. I like to ensure users satisfaction when using the library. Promoting literacy to my children via online and library. I also ensure I read a story to my children every night before bed time. I used books both from online and the library. I like to tell people about God goodness in my life. Training my children in the way of the Lord. I conduct morning devotions and ensure my children pray on mornings, before they eat and go to bed at night.
More About Me
I am a paraprofessional who function as a Library Assistant I at the Heritage Library Division, NALIS. I am charge with the responsibility of manning a coded special collection Rare Books Room. This room housed items that are of a historical value forserious researchers and staff to be used for exhibitions after given the necessary permission by Director. My role entails the ensuring that items are check and log in and out of the Rare Books log book.
I am also a wife and a mother of three children, ages ranging from 5, 8 & 9 years old. I am a person who don't shy away from using new technological gadgets presented to me and training for my professional advancement. I have had the pleasure of attending a three (3) day The Preservation of Photographic Collection Workshop (July 5th, 2019) at U.W.I Trinidad facilitated by Mrs. Debra Hess Norris. Her husband, Mr. Norris also did a session on Leadership. They were both engaging.
I am a person who never likes to give up. I am diligent, a team player and is always willing to help when I can.
I am a member of Library 2.0.
Currently, I am pursuing my BSc degree in Library and Information Science at COSTAATT.
My future aspiration is to become a Librarian.
