Subject(s) I Teach or Learning Interest Area
I teach 4th grade (all subjects) and previously taught 5th grade science & social studies. I am extremely interested in genius hour, constructivism in education, and aggressive/progressive use and adoption of technology in education. I am a learner first and a teacher second. Social connectivism and the use of PLN in educational contexts is also focal point in my current learning.
Personal Interests and Passions
My interests are all things education and I am passionate about improving educational outcomes for all students. I have become a teacher and changed careers in order to have a positive impact in this regard.
More About Me
I am a former systems engineer that worked for several different aerospace companies on electronic hardware systems. I have also worked as a software development R&D manager, school board trustee, and was also a PADI scuba instructor.
