Shawn Rubin is the Director of Technology Integration and Blended Learning at the Highlander Institute in Providence, RI. A ten year teaching veteran, Shawn was an early adopter of Blended Learning and quickly saw the transformative potential of technology for both teachers and students. In his new role, Shawn supports technology-based school reform initiatives across multiple elementary and secondary schools, leads a statewide professional learning community around tech integration, cultivates formal relationships between teachers and ed tech entrepreneurs, and promotes teacher innovations across Rhode Island. Shawn is also the founder of a mobile formative assessment app company called Metryx.
