I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:(mrsstellaabudheir@gmail.com ) for the full details.

    More About Me

I am a creative, enthusiastic, expressive, out-of-the-box thinker who “gets kids!” I am no longer teaching professionally, but I am ALWAYS teaching. After decades of working with and around children in many different situations I have concluded these three truths regarding children and learning: (1) Success breeds success; (2) No child wants to fail; and (3) Ensuring that my students know that I genuinely care about them and that I believe in their ability to success. I believe that parents and schools need to do a better job at helping children along their journey to understand who they are, as well helping them to discover what kind of person they would like to be. Helping them to understand what kind of learner they are, what personality traits they possess, are they right-brained or left-brained?introvert or extrovert?, what their love language is? Career interests? I have given many of these tests of my own two children several times over the years and it has really helped give them a better understanding of who they are and what their strengths and weaknesses are? Their friends have asked me for the tests, too. Anything to encourage self-reflection and how to learn from mistakes-to be resilient! These are skills very important for success in life. Teaching my children to be respectful-ALWAYS! Teaching students how to be a good friend, how to recognize a good friend, and the importance of valuing and not taking good friendships for granted. Qualities such as volunteering, helping in your community, forgiveness, loyalty, being honorable. How to be hospitable, friendly, welcoming to newcomers. Good communication skills. Strategies for managing stress and disappointments. Being a good self-advocate. Knowing when and where to ask for help? How to appropriately manage serious emotions like anger, jealousy, injustice. Strategies for self-care and self-acceptance. In my opinion, if schools valued and really reinforced life skills such as these, the benefits would be far greater than the benefits of learning Algebra???
