    More About Me

I taught for 12 years in various capacities in the New Haven Public School system. My career success and the majority of my efforts have been predominantly literacy. I was a 6th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher for 7 years. Other capacities include: 5th & 6th grade Reading Specialist, (2 years); 3rd & 4th grade, all subjects; summer school reading programs; math programs and CMT programs. I have most recently begun an MS in Education Technology at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT. I am very interested in the future of education, how to increase STEM subject professions and remaining current in all classroom technology. I relish watching my students grow from below reading level, unfortunately, to proficient and beyond. Once we conquer reading, everything else seems to start "working", even our "synergy" as a class. I am an avid runner, reader and I am putting a great deal of time and resources into my career and new technology at this time.
