More About Me

I'm an active leader in my teacher's union. I serve as the Vice President for my local association (the East Orange Education Association) and the Secretary for my county association (Essex County Education Association). I represent my county on NJEA's Congressional Contact Committee, and I've been a delegate to the NEA's Representative Assembly since 2015. When I can find the time, I enjoy being physically active in an effort to stay fit. I run during the spring, summer, and fall months, and occasionally compete in 5k races. I completed a half marathon and I hope to one day step up to a full marathon. As an alternative to running, I like hiking on the weekends and going to the gym. I'm politically active in my community, having served on the executive board of the Essex County Young Democrats. I completed the New Leaders Council NJ fellowship in 2016, and I continue to serve on their executive board as the Institute Co-chair.
